Herman A. White, Jr.-General Partner

Mr. White served as Senior Vice President and Team Leader at Silicon Valley Bank where he worked with venture backed pre-profit and pre-product companies in the Communications and Online Services Practice, the fastest growing Team within the Bank.  Mr. White led a team that included an Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer.  He was recognized as one of the top five performers during 1999.  Companies in Mr. White's portfolio included Infoseek, FatBrain.com, Polycom, Redback Networks, Extreme Networks, 2Wire, Kestrel Solutions, Cinta, and others. He joined CrossBridge in March 2000 after leaving SVB.  

Prior to Silicon Valley Bank, Mr. White was Vice President of Business Development at Sumitomo Bank, Ltd., San Francisco Branch, where he worked with over 50 technology/multimedia related companies in  Silicon Valley and the Pacific Northwest seeking corporate financing and access to the Asian markets.  Companies in Mr. White's portfolio included Intel, Sun Microsystems, Apple Computer, Silicon Graphics, National Semiconductor, AirTouch Communications, Pacific Telesis Group, Electronic Arts, and others.  Mr. White received his BA in Economics from the University of Utah and his Master of International Management in Finance from The American Graduate School of International Management (a.k.a. Thunderbird) where he serves as an active board member of the Alumni Association.

Mr. White speaks fluent Japanese.
