Management 

The four equal Fund Managers are experienced in venture capital, venture banking, technology lending, and corporate finance in both Japan and the United States.   The Fund Managers come from leading venture firms including Silicon Valley Bank, JAFCO, and Techno-Venture.  

Over the past five years, over one-half of the direct equity investments made by the Fund Managers have gone public including widely recognized IPOs such as CIENA, PSINet, Novellus Systems, TriQuint Semiconductor, and Tivoli Systems.  Noteworthy venture debt investments include AboveNet Communications, BigWords, Driveway, Extreme Networks, Kestrel, Infoseek, Redback Networks, Snowball, and 2Wire.  

The Team will use their experience and network of contacts developed over the years to provide portfolio companies both timely and strategic access to Japan, the world’s second largest economy.  The Fund Managers will be located in Tokyo and Silicon Valley to better support investment activities and will have full discretion over the day-to-day operations of the Fund.
